Streets of Rage 4 is a premium arcade game for mobile developed by Playdigious. It is the official mobile port of the latest Streets of Rage beat 'em up series first released for PC and consoles back in 2020. Its controls have been reworked and optimized for touch input.

Similar to Brawhalla or Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed, Streets of Rage 4 offers nonstop action from start to finish. Players can choose from various characters, each with their own unique abilities and fighting styles. It will also come with the Mr. X Nightmare DLC already included.
Decades in the making
Streets of Rage is a beat 'em up video game franchise that was popular back in the 1990s. It was a trilogy developed and released during the span of that decade. After that, though, the series went on a long hiatus, and no new release was put out since. 25 years later, it finally marked its revival with Streets of Rage 4.
This revival still offers the same five unique characters to play and 12 stages available to rumble at as its PC and console counterparts. You also get to choose from multiple game modes. Practice and familiarize yourself with combat via training. You can then go through the single-player campaign via Story Mode. Alternatively, you can select Arcade if you just want to get a quick game session in.
One thing to be aware of is that there’s no online multiplayer here. However, the developer did say that it will come as a feature update for the game in the future. At least the Mr. X Nightmare DLC is bundled in, which will give you three new characters, a Survival Mode, and even more customization options. It should tie you over until you wait for the aforementioned multiplayer gameplay.
Back and better than ever
Streets of Rage 4 was a pleasant surprise when its first game came out. No one was expecting that a new game was in the works for the long-standing franchise and now players got a modern beat 'em up with that signature retro charm. If you haven't played it yet, now is a great time to give it a try. Highly recommended.
